"No Justice, No Peace": Yandy Smith Joins #BlackLivesMatter to Peacefully Protest

"Overwhelmed and underwhelmed at the same time and it make me emotional."

Yandy Smith is just the latest celebrity to add her voice to the peaceful protests to combat police brutality and gun violence in our nation. Just earlier today The Game and Snoop Dogg led a march to the Los Angeles Police Department headquarters. Smith posted video to her Instagram account, marching and joining the chorus of "No justice, no peace."

She editorialized the post, "Overwhelmed and underwhelmed at the same time and it make me emotional. Overwhelmed by how my people turned up and turned out but underwhelmed because I'm not sure it will work."

Alongside another video, the Love & Hip Hop star wrote, "We Gonna Be Alright. The energy being one with this peaceful movement felt euphoric. Stand up for your children, your sons and daughters need this world to be a better place! Let's get unified."

Right now VH1, BET, MTV, Logo and Centric are simultaneously broadcasting a live town hall featuring artists, activists and a studio audience. “What Now?” is moderated by VH1’s Marc Lamont Hill, plus Charlamagne Tha God, Francesca Ramsey and MTV News’ Jamil Smith.
