Hasan Minhaj of 'The Daily Show' Weighs in on Why People Might Not Be Feeling Hillary Clinton

"It's not about ageism or if you can whip or nae nae."

Hillary Clinton supporters have been gathering in Philadelphia all week to show love for her at the 2016 Democratic National Convention. VH1 headed down to the City of Brotherly Love to speak to some of the DNC-goers firsthand, and we even caught up with Hasan Minhaj of The Daily Show.

VH1 Correspondent Carri Twigg spoke to Minhaj to get his take on the week's events. The comedian touched on something that many millenials feel is lacking in this year's (and many others) political race: authenticity.

"To me, it's not about ageism or if you can whip or nae nae or if you can shoot a great jump shot," Minhaj said. "I love that Barack [Obama] has a sweet baby hook, but to me what matters most is authenticity. I think the thing that Bernie [Sanders] supporters felt is it doesn't matter that [Sanders] looks like Dumbledore. It's the fact that he is authentic and true to himself."

A little authenticity goes a long way, doesn't it? Find out what else Minhaj had to say in the clip below.
