T.I. Gives Perfect Response to Lil Wayne's "Unacceptable" Black Lives Matter Comments

He wants Weezy to “stop embarrassing yourself.”

Thanks to his daughter and son, T.I. was able to witness Lil Wayne's controversial comments about Black Lives Matter in a recent Nightlight interview. T.I., who has effectively utilized his platform as a reputed rapper countless times to speak out intelligently on issues of racial inequality and police brutality, it is no surprise that he had trouble digesting what Weezy was trying to say in his now-viral interview. He had no choice but to respond.

"I'm at a complete loss for words here," the rapper writes, on an Instagram post featuring a video clip recording of Wayne's comments. In his reactionary post, the Atlanta rapper points out how their children practically grew up together, and how each were there for the other while dealing with outside circumstances, such as when Wayne was in prison.

"Our relationship outside of music is what makes me sensitive to your disposition," T.I. continues. "I KNOW you wired a bit different than most other responsible adults, but still n***a U TRIPPING!!!! I don't know what you goin thru,or what you are attempting to avoid but this s**t is absolutely unacceptable!!!!"

He further dives into how Wayne's comments are "tarnishing" his legacy and boldly admits that his kids don't look up to Weezy anymore putting it into a perspective that forces the rapper to think about the consequences he now inevitably has to face as a result of his actions.

"You’re disrespecting yourself, bringing shame on your family name & tarnishing your legacy. You have children (including mines prior to now) that have looked up to you. You have sons & a daughter that depend upon your leadership.”

Like any loving big brother, Tip gently reminds Wayne that integrity trumps material possessions every time.

“Bro if you don’t stand for something out here, all the money, jewelry, cars, mansions bandannas & hit records don’t mean sh*t!!!!” warned the Atlanta native. “Our people are being oppressed!!! We are being hunted, captured & slaughtered out here daily!!!"

Finally, T.I. aimed to remind Weezy that he’s here to help, and if he needs a little assistance in understanding BLM, Mr. Grand Hustle is more than happy to help.

“I know U,YOURE BETTER THAN THIS,” continued Tip. “I’ve been proud to call myself a fan & a friend of Lil Wayne, but if that must end in order to stand up for those who can’t do it for themselves…So be it. If you’re not prepared for a question in an interview, say ‘No Comment Bro.’ But stop embarrassing yourself & everyone out here who’s been supporting you. There is no middle ground. Oppression knows no neutral party, either you’re part of the oppressed, or you with the oppressor. There is no such thing as oppression not affecting you. It’s #USorELSE out here.”

Lil Wayne has already responded back to T.I. and all of the online criticism he's received with a very short and sweet tweet.
