Serena Williams Is Officially Engaged To Reddit Co-Founder Alexis Ohanian

Serena Williams is officially off the market. The 35-year-old tennis champ is announced today that she is engaged to 33-year-old Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian. And yes, the engagement was announced on Reddit.

“I came home. A little late. Someone had a bag packed for me. And a carriage waited. Destination: Rome,” Williams wrote in a poem on her verified Reddit account. “To escort me to my very own ‘charming.’ Back to where our stars first collided. And now it was full circle. At the same table we first met by chance. But by choice. Down on knee. He said 4 words. And I said yes.”

Ironically, Ohanian chose to break the news on Facebook. Sharing Serena's Reddit post with friends, he simply writes "She said yes."

The infamously secretive Serena and hew new beau have kept their love life far away from press and social media, so the engagement caught many by surprise. The last rumored public romance of Serena's was with rapper Drake. But as we've reported, he's rather preoccupied at the moment.

Congratulations to Serena and Alexis! And thank you 2016 for finally delivering a piece of good news to close out the year.
