Like it or not, Lil Uzi Vert and Lil Yachty are the faces of new school rap. With that responsibility comes lots of hate, especially from the old school rap heads. Uzi and Yachty's positive and flamboyant persona's and simplistic "mumble rap" music has made them targets for criticism, especially from Joe Budden. They dress different. They rap different. They stand out from most of their rap peers.
R&B singer Tank took to Instagram today to give a progressive speech about how we should be supporting these young rappers and what they represent instead of throwing shade.
