Jerry Seinfeld Has a Pretty Logical Explanation For Rejecting Kesha's Hug

Here's why he had to curve her enthusiasm.

If you know anything about Jerry Seinfeld, or are familiar with any of his work, then his response to Kesha's aggressive request for a hug was anything but surprising. But based on the internet's knee-jerk reaction to his icy response, the comedian (who still doesn't get why its a big deal) decided to offer an explanation.

During a recent interview with OG entertainment reporter AJ Calloway of Extra, Seinfeld confirms what we suspected all along - he has no idea who the hell Kesha is. "I’m 63, I don’t know every pop star… I don’t know everyone. I was right in the middle of an interview. It was kinda off." Though Seinfeld admitted that he's not exactly a hugger, he doesn't mind a friendly embrace every now and then from people he actually knows.

"When you get to be my age and you've done a couple things, you have your own reality. In my reality… I don't hug a total stranger. I have to meet someone, say hello. I gotta start somewhere. Hug is not first moment of a human, two humans. I never did that."

Watch the clip below where Jerry fully explains his side and reveals whether or not Kesha ever got that hug.

Not all first encounters are good…just like this meeting between Donald Trump, Audrina and her mom.
