R. Kelly is Allegedly the Leader of a Sex Cult and We're All Shook

This is giving a whole new meaning to 'Trapped in the Closet.'

In today's news that makes you say, "Whaaaaaat?" Buzzfeed has shared evidence that the R&B star is at the head of a cult.

Kells doesn't exactly have a clean past. He's been publicly accused of sexual assault with minors and stood trial for making child pornography, though he was later acquitted. Maybe it shouldn't be shocking that the latest allegation against him is that he is an actual cult leader? But it is.

Buzzfeed's report includes accounts from the parents of one of the women currently living at one of Kelly's properties, as well as experiences from Cheryl Mack, Kitti Jones, and Asante McGee, who were all members of R. Kelly's inner-circle. According to their experiences, "...six women live in properties rented by Kelly in Chicago and the Atlanta suburbs, and he controls every aspect of their lives: dictating what they eat, how they dress, when they bathe, when they sleep, and how they engage in sexual encounters that he records."

The report suggests that Kelly lures girls into his life by telling them that he is going to help them with their music careers.

Mack explained that, although life with R. Kelly would seem glamorous, "You have to ask for food. You have to ask to go use the bathroom. ...[Kelly] is a master at mind control. ...He is a puppet master.”

From confiscating cell phones to an enforced track-suit dress code (which is just one of the bizarre details of this case), Kelly sets rules for the girls who live with him, and if those rules are broken, the women are punished verbally and physically.

Naturally, the internet is shook:

I think we're all a little shook.
