Moonlight Wins Best Picture
Barry Jenkins’ coming-of-age drama Moonlight won Best Picture at the Oscars, which in itself would be notable, but the way it won was truly shocking. When actors Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway made the announcement, they were given the incorrect card, and announced the wrong movie.
The cast of La La Land was in the process of giving an acceptance speech when they realized there had been a mistake, and Moonlight was called up to accept. It was later revealed that accounting firm PricewaterhouseCoopers had been responsible for the error.
Fans who have been waiting four long years for Eminem to release a new album were ecstatic when he finally dropped Revival on December 15.
