Drew Elliott Gets Real About Weight Issues and Adversity With Rhiyan Carreker After She's Eliminated From 'America's Next Top Model'

We're sad to see her go, but eliminations are a part of competitions.

While we're sad to see Rhiyan (and that glorious weave) go, she got real about the obstacles that held her back in her After the Runway interview with Drew Elliott.

Rhiyan's week was off to a rocky start when she struggled to get the acting thing down pat before the acting competition with Stacey McKenzie, Anthony Hemingway and Kevin Phillips . Things didn't get any easier for her during the challenge when she ended up scaring everyone else instead of being the one that looked afraid.

When Drew asked Rhiyan about her dad, and she opened up about his death impacted her. Her dad, who was her best friend and a model himself, slowly started to disappear from her day-to-day life when she in high school and she didn't know why. By the time she knew what was going on, it was a quick transition from "having my dad, having my best friend and then it went to having my sick father fighting for his life."

When her dad passed away, Rhiyan said she turned to food and ended up gaining a lot of weight. It wasn't until she moved to New York City to start a career as a fashion designer that she started to lose the weight. She may have lost her weight but Rhiyan appreciates seeing the variety of body types within the fashion world and the America's Next Top Model competition.

Before finishing her interview, Rhiyan did take a minute to spill a little tea on the models still in the house. Who stirred the pot the most? Christina. Who was the literal messiest? Jeana. Who's the craziest? Liz. Are you shocked by any of these?
