Here's What Kanye West Had to Say About All of Your "Sunken Place" Jokes

At least we know 'Ye hasn't lost his sense of humor.

Kanye West has been pretty active on Twitter of late, dropping philosophical tweets and stirring up ish. He's also gearing up to drop a ton of music in June, but don't think for a second he doesn't have his eyes on your tweets. He's well aware of the running joke on social media that he is currently trapped in the "sunken place" because of his erratic behavior, pro-Trump stance and the fact that he's in an interracial marriage.

In case you're one of the few cave dwellers who has yet to see the film Get Out, the "sunken place" is a reference to the movie in which the main character, Chris, gets trapped in a state of paralyzing hypnosis by his white girlfriend's body snatching family. Similarly, concerned Yeezy critics seem to think all signs point to the "real Kanye" being snatched up by Kris Jenner's super powers and replaced with a lost and easily manipulated Kanye.

Welp, Mr. West is not here for it. In a series of outrageous tweets in advance of his forthcoming album, Kanye used Twitter to brag about his God-level genius and, of course his wealth. "Do this look like the sunken place," he asked while sharing a photo of his minimalist home (which is damn near as big as a cathedral).

One more time for the people in the back:

Nice clap back, Yeezy. However, the Mrs. has some concerns. Kanye's wife Kim Kardashian responded to her hubby's tweet reminding him of a strict rule they have in place. "Ummm babe. We had a rule to not show our home on social media," she writes. "Soooo can we now allow KUWTK filming in the home? πŸ€”πŸ˜‚"

This certainly isn't the first time Get Out references have irritated The Wests. In a video for Elle Magazine, Kim had a mini-vent session about how tired she felt the joke was becoming. Another dumb f*cking Kanye, GET OUT reference,” she says while scrolling through social media comments. β€œIt’s like, people are so f*cking dumb and stupid.”

Hey! If you can't make fun of yourself, this fame thing is no fun amirite?

When Kim Kardashian, Chelsea Handler, Amber Rose and other celebrities post nudes to social media, is it empowering?
