Diddy Will Honor Mama Combs at 'Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms'
Business mogul and #CoolDad Sean "Diddy" Combs will join Gabrielle Union, Colin Kaepernick, and hosts La La Anthony and Anthony Anderson at Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms, an event all about showing moms the love they deserve!
Better known as Mama Combs, Diddy's mom Janice worked hard to make sure that Diddy had everything he needed, setting the example for the hard work it would require for him to become the powerhouse star, entrepreneur and activist that he is today. Diddy is an awesome dad, and you better believe he got those parenting skills from his mama.
Diddy started his career as the director of A&R at Uptown Records, launching the careers of Mary J. Blige and Jodeci, and later founded his own label, Bad Boy Records. The list of celebs that he helped rise to stardom is long but includes The Notorious B.I.G., Faith Evans, Heavy D and The Boyz, and Lil' Kim.
Aside from his success in music (which includes three Grammy Awards and ASCAP's Songwriter of the Year honor) the mogul has seen success in many different forms. From acting on television and in films like A Raisin in the Sun to executive producing an Academy Award-winning documentary, there doesn't seem to be anything that Diddy can't do.
You can watch him celebrate and honor the woman who made it all possible at VH1's Dear Mama: A Love Letter to Moms on May 7th at 9pm ET/PT
Yung Joc does an impression of when his mom would cuss and scold him as a kid. We’re remembering all the best mama moments at Dear Mama, Monday May 7 at 9 ET/PT on VH1!
