Andrew Garfield Is The Rock Star You've Been Waiting For

Many actors have tried to launch musical careers, and many have failed. Proving he really is more talented than the rest of us, Andrew Garfield debuted his first single on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon Thursday night. The fact that its lyrics contain references to spiders and crime-fighting civilians is purely coincidental, right? This isn't just a plug for his new movie, The Amazing Spider-Man 2? Of course not! What kind of world do you think we're living in?

Despite already starring in an international blockbuster, this weekend's Saturday Night Live host is feeling the pressure the second time around. "This is the first time I've ever sung in public," Garfield confided in Fallon, who was quick to encourage him ("You're at a comfy home! We're very, very nice here!") and even grabbed a tambourine in support. Eyes closed and acoustic guitar in hand, Garfield strummed away, revealing a gritty twang that's probably best enjoyed with a glass of Scotch and a (electric) cigarette. All in all, not a bad debut. And it's so much easier when superheroes can sing their own theme songs.

Put this in the books as yet another one of A.G.'s (soon to be classic) adorably awesome moments. If only Emma Stone was singing backup!
