VH1 Big In 2015 With Entertainment Weekly just got a little bigger. In addition to trailblazers Taraji P. Henson, Amy Schumer, the Straight Outta Compton cast and Elizabeth Banks, rap goddess Nicki Minaj has been added to the bill of honorees.
Let’s revisit Nicki’s 2015 slay real quick. Ms. Minaj not only destroyed the Billboard charts with The Pinkprint, but she made history with her amount of record-breaking hits this year. And we’ll have none other than hip-hop royalty Queen Latifah to present Nicki with her honor.

Los Angeles, CA (November 13, 2015) – Grammy Award-nominated and multi-platinum superstar Nicki Minaj has been named as an honoree at the “VH1 Big In 2015 with Entertainment Weekly” party, which premieres Monday, December 7, 2015 at 9pm ET/PT on VH1. On that night, VH1 and Entertainment Weekly, the brands that help define pop culture, are teaming up to toast and roast the people who entertained us the most all year long.
Nicki Minaj will be presented with the “Big In 2015” honor by Oscar and Emmy Award-nominated actress and Hip Hop icon, Queen Latifah. Minaj and the other honorees will be celebrated that evening by the people who know them best. She joins previously announced honorees Amy Schumer and “Empire” star Taraji P. Henson, Elizabeth Banks and the breakout cast from the most successful music biopic of all time, “Straight Outta Compton” — O’Shea Jackson, Jr., Corey Hawkins and Jason Mitchell.
Additional presenters and talent will be announced after the taping on Sunday, November 15, at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles.
The evening’s honorees are also featured in Entertainment Weekly’s Entertainers of the Year issue, on sale nationwide November 24, 2015.
A decade after VH1 created the pop culture awards show with the “Big In… Awards,” “VH1 Big In 2015 with Entertainment Weekly” marks the return of the franchise, which celebrates the biggest moments and people in entertainment with a star-studded special with A-List talent and their complete “squads” in tow.
