Did Shia LaBeouf Diss Drake in New Freestyle?
Shia LaBeouf just proved that he can outrap your favorite rapper. Earlier this morning, the Transformer star visited radio show Sway in the Morning and unbelievably gave one of the most fire freestyles of the year. If your ears are ready watch below.
We already knew Shia was raps next big prodigy, but the way he flows throughout the freestyle subtly throwing shade at his haters makes us believes he's been going to Drake's Rap School for Subliminal Shots.
"Get ready, get set, this a meme," LaBeouf began. "This is wild, this is a childhood dream." LaBeouf then snuck in a sly 1Oak diss before referencing his 2013 Daniel Clowes mini-controversy with this: "Plagiarist, stay making sh*t. Greatest gifts come from painful sh*t."
He didn't stop there. He also might've taken a shot a the 6 God himself.
Shia raps, "It's dumb now, trash rapping in October, who wrote what for who? It's all below par." Is that a shot at Drake's ghost writing claims? Drizzy was called out called out by Meek Mill last year for not writing his own material, which shocked the rap world. Also, he's commonly known for repping his birth month of October, so "trash rapping in October" could easily be targeted towards Drizzy.
No word from Drake yet on the possible diss, but I'll speak on rap's behalf and state that our ears are ready for a Shia/Drake freestyle battle. On the other hand, we now live in a world where Shia LaBeouf could become the most talked about rapper out. Anything is possible, right? What a great time to be alive.
