In This Throwback Interview, Sophia Body Says Dating Safaree Was the "Worst Involvement In [Her] Life"

"He treated me the way Nicki 'treated him.'"

Sophia Body may not technically be Safaree's ex-girlfriend, but the two did date in what she describes to be one of the worst situationships of all time. Yikes.

In this throwback interview with Off The Record, Sophia sets hers straight by clarifying her past involvement with Safaree. Immediately Sophia shuts down claims that the two were in a relationship. When asked what happened between them, the Love & Hip Hop newbie gets vague explaining that they were good but things allegedly went left quickly.

They began talking shortly after his breakup with Nicki Minaj and, although Nicki is arguably the hottest female MC out, Sophia wasn't fazed about Safaree's prominent ex. Although at the time, a couple of interviews were released where Nicki and Safaree spoke about how much they do miss one another, Sophia claims to have never have watched them. She says, "If I'm dealing with someone in the industry or if I'm dealing with someone in general, I don't dig up everything that they they've done. I don't go and look. I just take them for who they are." If she did hear the interview, however, she says she would "have never got involved."

Her issue with him was how he "plays victim" when it comes to the Pink Print rapper. She says,

He's trying to play off his entire career now off of how bad Nicki hurt him and how bad Nicki treated him or whatever and I kind of believed in the beginning but now he's trying to play victim off of what he's done to me. It's really crazy.

Throughout the course of their courtship, Sophia describes separate instances where she began to question Safaree's character. "This is why I think it is so funny, because he treated me the way Nicki 'treated him,'" she explains and believes that he may have still been in love with his ex. Suffice to say, the situation didn't work out.

Since then, the two have not been in contact with one another. In fact, Safaree alleges that the first time he saw Sophia was in this Love & Hip Hop scene where he attempts to be cordial. He even goes above and beyond to help Sophia get some closure with Jaquae after he kicked her out for accepting a fur baby from James R.

It's nice to see there are no more hard feelings. It's all about growth people.
