We legit almost called it quits on all things love in 2016... until these couples popped up on our radars and got us hyped all over again. Although most of these duos are still fresh in their honeymoon phase of lust love, we're rooting for them to make it work in 2017. Because if these folks can mend their broken hearts with a fresh start, there is hope for us all.

Ok, ok. So we know that technically they aren't a "real" couple and yes, this 'ship sunk at the end of season one. However, Insecure's Issa Dee (Issa Rae) and Lawrence (Jay Ellis), are fan faves that viewers grew to love in 2016. And with HBO giving the green light on season two, we can only hope that they'll get back together, stronger than ever. Because if they can find forgiveness after that intense finale, it'll be proof that love truly conquers all.
So sure, 2016 may have been a hot mess of breakups and breakdowns, but one thing is for sure, hookups were on the rise too. Here's to new love in 2017!
