"All of the Weight Falls on You:" Toya Wright Feels Responsible for Her Mom But She's At the End of Her Rope
Toya Wright loves being able to support her family and help her mother, but it's clearly starting to take a toll on her.
Toya and her mother Anita decide to go see a life coach to try to figure out their dynamic after Toya's mom, who is a recovering drug addict, quit the job that Toya found for her. Toya feels responsible for her mother but is tired of feeling like she is the one treating her mom like the kid.
Anita seems to think that Toya owes her something as her daughter, but it's all becoming too much for Toya to handle.
"I'm not rich. You know, people don't always understand that. They feel like you have a New York Times best selling book, they see who your kids are with and it's like: You're rich. No, I'm not. I've got bills, bills, bills.."
It's no fun for Toya to feel like a 24 hour ATM for her family. Will she be able to stop enabling her mother and start focusing on herself and her children? Watch the clip above to find out and check out T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle on Mondays at 9/8c!
