From The 'CrazySexyCool Red Carpet: Lil' Mama Says Portraying Left Eye Was Tough

Lil' Mama told VH1 during the filming of CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story that "if anybody was gonna play Left Eye, it was gonna be me because I wanted her to be well represented." Yet the role came with a disadvantage: the sad fact that Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes is no longer with us made it harder for Lil' Mama to get her essence down, as she told VH1 News on the red carpet for the film's premiere last night.

"It's kinda tough when you don't have the person there," she said. "But to have these beautiful ladies [of TLC] support me and show me love and let me know that I was welcome and they were very excited about me being on board? I couldn't ask for anything better."

CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story premieres on VH1 Monday, October 21 at 9PM ET/PT.
