Yung Joc Gives the Origin Story of His Now Iconic Hairdo

Yung Joc hair has inspired countless memes and became a pop culture moment all unto itself and now the Love & Hip Hop Atlanta star is opening up about just how it came to be. In a VH1 exclusive Joc discusses getting the call to join the cast of Hip Hop Squares and needing a new and fresh look. "God said, 'Wear your crown,' [and] Mona said, 'Be the king that you are.'" Joc explains meeting Sharonda in the salon and telling her he needed "a white boy hairdo." The final results are what we've come to know and love but Joc knew that the public would either think he was on drugs, that he lost a bet, or that he lost his mind. The funny man says when he stopped by his mom's to show her the new lewk, she was laughing while giving him her two-cents and that's when he clocked that his mama was the culprit who started making memes of his hair. LOL! We wish this was true. We live for Joc's hair and are so happy to know how it came to be! And the rest is, hair-story.
