This Makeup Expert Cast Major Shade Upon Kylie Jenner's Lip Products Last Night

Not all lip kits are created equal and Jeffree Star will be the first to tell you.

The makeup expert and cosmetics brand has voiced his thoughts on Kylie Jenner's lip kits (and lips) before. It was actually Star's tweets about Jenner's faulty lip gloss brushes that prompted Jenner to re-ship new glosses to her customers *free of charge* last month. Last night, Star reignited the notion of Jenner's brand being lesser than others (specifically his own) and ultimately threw shade at the teenager's brand.

It started with a tweet from a fan who asserted that Star's line of liquid lipsticks are better than Jenner's. Star responded, "I mean... Formula vs. Name ?" in a tweet that seems to have since been deleted from his account. Star proceeded to throw Jenner some subs. View them here.

Star, 30, says on his site that he first fell in love with makeup at the age of 13. His experience with beauty products in years is almost the same as Jenner's age. The point he seems to be making via his tweets is that fame shouldn't impact quality, but does, anyway.

As people often complain about the quality of Jenner's Lip Kits—as well as the prices, it's arguable that her fame overrides the failings of her cosmetics brand. Anyone who's ever tried to purchase a Kylie Lip Kit knows that it's nearly impossible, and the surprise drop approach she typically takes to restocking is highly inconvenient. And yet, Jenner's lip products are wildly popular among beauty bloggers, celebrities and of course, her fanbase.

As we said earlier, not all lip kits are created equal. Furthermore, not all lip kits are for everyone. To each his or her own.
