All the Single Ladies: 7 Women Who Are Totally Selling The Single Life
By Jasmine Grant
In a society that suggests women are somehow flawed if they choose to be single, it’s time to celebrate a few celebs who could probably have any man they want, yet choose to slay solo. While everyone is busy posting about their #MCM, these powerhouse vixens are too busy being bad ass and dominating in their careers to feel left out. Check out these fierce ladies who are having the solitary time of their lives.
Rihanna
When you’re Rihanna, there’s pretty much no man alive you couldn’t have. In the prime of her career, she's young, rich, beautiful, and has yet to claim anyone worthy of giving up her single card. And understandably so, since her calendar has been filled with fashion partnerships with the likes of Puma and Dior. Rih Rih has a history of loving em’ and leaving em’ (just ask Drake).
Kendall Jenner
Unlike her younger sister, Kendall Jenner is single and loving it. Besides, do you really need a boo when you’re 19, this hot and storming runways for every major designer in the world? Not really. That’s not to say there haven’t been offers on the table, though. Within the past month alone, she's been romantically linked to actors Michael B. Jordan, Orlando Bloom and One Direction star Harry Styles.
Serena Williams
Tennis champ Serena Williams is a superstar athlete who is far too busy kicking ass and taking names to commit to a relationship – even with you, Drake. Totally aggressive and vocal on the court, Serena takes the opposite approach to her love life, keeping mum about her relationship status and directing her energy toward her craft.
Kourtney Kardashian
It’s never easy to pick yourself up again after a bad breakup. Try adding three kids and media attention to the equation, and you might feel like giving up on love entirely. But Kourtney Kardashian is epitomizing what it means to be unbothered. The 36-year-old reality star and mother washed her hands of the ongoing drama that is her ex Scott Disick and hasn’t looked back since. Kourtney is moving on…and in style.
Selena Gomez
After a heavy romance with Justin Bieber and a brief fling with Nick Jonas, Selena Gomez now knows exactly what she wants and is refusing to settle. In a recent Complex interview, The Biebs blamed the demise of his relationship with Selena on getting too serious, way too young. Though Selena has forgiven her ex for his douchey ways, she’s made it clear that only a real man could have a chance with her moving forward.
Taraji P. Henson
Taraji P. is on top of the world right now, thanks to her leading role in the hit show Empire. The slay queen has no trouble getting attention from the opposite sex. Still, she insists guys can’t ever seem to muster up the courage to ask her out. "I think the more successful you get, the more intimidated [men] get, because they feel like they can't approach me," she confessed to Entertainment Tonight. We can’t blame a guy for getting cold feet – not everyone is suited to court the queen of primetime TV!
Karrueche Tran
Nobody deserves to bask in the single life more than Karrueche Tran, long-suffering ex-girlfriend of Chris Brown. Her tumultuous relationship with him came to a screeching halt this year when she discovered via social media that he had secretly fathered a child. It was the child-with-a-side-chick that broke the camel’s back, but also set her free to be more than just Chris Brown’s girlfriend. The aspiring actress and model is now single as a dollar bill – but perhaps not for long. She’s recently been spotted out and about with Dutch footballer Memphis Dephay.
