Jack White + Black Keys' Patrick Carney Got Into A Bar Fight This Weekend, But Made Up Over The Phone

No bad blood here.

Jack White and Black Keys have a fiery past. Jack used to think that Black Keys were trying to copy him, and he once tried to take his kids out of the same school as Dan Auerbach's. Jack has since apologized for his comments about Black Keys, but last night, Patrick Carney alleged that Jack tried to fight him.

Patrick posted a series of tweets Sunday night suggesting that Jack tried to fight him in a bar in NYC. Most of the tweets have since been deleted, but Rolling Stone caught them before they went. From Rolling Stone:

"I've never met Jack White. Until last night. He came to a bar in NYC I go to a lot with a few friends and tried to fight me," Carney tweeted Sunday. "I don't fight and don't get fighting, but he was mad!!! He is why I play music. The bully assholes who made me feel like nothing. Music was a private non-competitive thing." Carney then continued, "Not the best drummer, but a passionate one. But anyway, Jack White. A 40-year-old bully tried to fight the 35-year-old nerd. It might get loud, but it might also get really really sad and pathetic."

Jack responded to Patrick's claims in a statement that included the following, according to Rolling Stone:

"Nobody tried to fight you, Patrick. Nobody touched you or 'bullied' you," White wrote. "You were asked a question you couldn't answer, so you walked away. So quit whining to the Internet and speak face to face like a human being. End of story." A rep for White could not confirm to Rolling Stone the "question" White asked Carney.

All has been made well, though, as Patrick posted this to Twitter this morning.

And that's a wrap! Jack White and Black Keys are once again OK, and all it took was a phone call. As you were, people, as you were.
