Harry Connick Jr. is joining American Idol as a judge. The announcement is good news for fans who noticed that Connick actually gave honest and amusingly biting critique to the contestants when he guest mentored last season. [Rolling Stone]

A chipmunk got into Carrie Underwood's house and it bit her husband, Mike Fisher. Underwood posted a Vine clip where she asks Fisher to save the chipmunk before it bites him and not to hurt it. [People]
