First Dibs: Who Got The Boot On 'American Idol' Last Night?

Is Showtime's Dexter finally coming to an end? Is Kris Jenner getting her own talk show? And why does Tom Cruise have high hopes for his apocalyptic film, Oblivion, this weekend? All this in today's First Dibs.

Country sweetheart Janelle Arthur was voted off American Idol last night. Arthur gave a stunning rendition of "You Keep Me Hangin' On" as her "Save Me Song", but the judges were split in half on whether or not to use their save, so she is now out of the competition. [US Magazine]

Kris Jenner is getting a show of her own! Instead of expanding the Kardashian's reality empire, Jenner's new show, Kris, will be a pop culture-driven daytime talkshow on Fox. Kris is set to debut Monday, July 15. [Deadline]

Tom Cruise is hoping that his new movie Oblivion will make him box office king this weekend. The movie is filled with doom, gloom and special effects and since there are no other major films being released this weekend, industry insiders are on Tom's side. [MTV News]
