Just When You Thought Matt Barnes and Gloria Govan's Custody Battle Was Over, Here Comes This Major News

This is a major victory for the retired baller.

A California judge has finally made a decision in the very lengthy and public custody battle between former Basketball Wives star Gloria Govan and her ex-husband, Matt Barnes. According to TMZ, Matt has not only been awarded sole legal custody of their twin boys, Isaiah and Carter Barnes, but has also been granted an 18-month restraining order against Gloria. Shortly after receiving news of his courtroom victory, Matt hopped on Instagram calling his attorneys "the dream team."

During this morning's ruling, it was decided that Gloria will get regular visitation every other weekend and will have dinner with the boys once a week.

TMZ goes on to say that Gloria left the courtroom with a little bit of homework, specifically 26 sessions of anger management and 10 parenting classes. This allegedly stems from an altercation with Matt at the boys' school just before Labor Day Weekend.

Throughout the summer, Matt had been documenting the back and forth court drama with his ex. In a June Instagram rant, Matt seemed ecstatic that the custody battle was coming to an end and the odds looked to be in his favor. "This sh-t been going on for damn near four years now, man. I'm tired of it. I know y'all are tired of it. But y'all don't know what kind of sh-t this girl is on, man. All these mother f-cking lies and allegations and trying to throw dirt on my name and doing all that sh-t man, but it all caught up today, man."

Gloria has been relatively silent about the court case on social media, only posting sweet moments from her time with her sons. Recently, she wished them a happy 10th birthday accompanied by some throwback photos. "As you start your new year I pray that God continues to bless you and surround you with people that love you the way I do," she said in her caption.
