Twilight star Kristen Stewart is shying away from the big franchises that gave her movie star status and has just lined up a couple of unique indie roles. She'll play an army officer stationed in Guantamamo Bay in Camp X-Ray and the assistant to Juliette Binoche's aging star in Sils Maria. [MTV News]

When Matt Smith announced that he was leaving Doctor Who this year, it set off a firestorm of speculation about who would be cast as the next Doctor. Adding to the intrigue is a comment on actor Wil Wheaton's tumblr that suggests all this speculation is moot because the role was already cast several weeks ago. [Tumblr]

Kate Winslet is pregnant with her third child. Winslet already has a 12 year old daughter named Mia and a 9 year old son named Joe, but this will be her first child with new husband Ned Rocknroll. [People]

Lily Collins might be the daughter of Phil Collins, but she wants the world to know that she didn't build her career on her rock star dad's name. She told Glamour, "I never wanted anyone making phone calls. A name can open doors, but there's a quote I like: 'Personality can open doors, but only character can keep them open.'"
