Metal Community Aghast At Desecration Of Pantera Guitarist Dimebag Darrell’s Grave

The grave of "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, the Pantera guitarist who was murdered on stage by a crazed concert goer, was vandalized a few days ago. An up-and-coming metal band named Nuclear Hellfrost was believed to be responsible, but the former lead singer of the band has since stepped up to apologize for the incident.

Though disbanded since 2003, Pantera posted the following statement to their Facebook page on Saturday, including the Instagram post that publicized the act of vandalism. The original Instagram, as well as the Instagram account it was posted to, has since been deleted.

Nuclear Hellfrost cleared the air by issuing the following statement on Saturday, posted to their Facebook account. The band denied having anything to do with defacing Abbott's grave.

Nuclear Hellfrost's former lead singer, Reece Eber, came clean as the man behind the act. He posted an apology, in which he admits he "ignorantly acted like a fool and pulled the dumbest possible delinquent act of my life" to his Facebook account, but later deleted it. Nuclear Hellfrost reposted the statement to their page.
