Solange's business partner and close friend, 24 year-old Armina Mussa, is currently in critical condition after being stabbed 10 times outside of her New Orleans home. NOLA.com reports that the incident took place Wednesday night, in the section of St Roch. The suspect, 26 year-old Arronesia Christophe, was apprehended and later charged with attempted second-degree murder.
Mussa is the creative director of St Herron, as well as co-owner of Exodus Goods, a boutique located in the French Quarter. Christophe claims she acted in self-defense, after Mussa began throwing punches and grabbing her hair. According to reports, "she did not think she had stabbed the victim, due to the harder thrown punches that she received from the victim." Police reports state that Mussa suffered several stab wounds to "various areas of her body," which include a "potentially fatal" stab to her neck.
Solange was nowhere near the scene of the crime Wednesday night, instead DJing at an event in Los Angeles. But soon after catching wind of the shocking news, Knowles headed home back to New Orleans to be by her friend's side. Christophe is currently being held at Orleans Parish Prison where her bail is set at $50,000.
