A man opened fire during a screening of Trainwreck at the Grand Theatre in Lafayette, Louisiana Thursday night, killing three people (including himself) and injuring nine. Police have identified the gunman as John Russell Houser, 59. Authorities describe him as a "drifter."
Lafayette Chief of Police Jim Craft discussed the tragedy at a press conference, saying the affected people were rushed to the hospital with injuries that "range from non-life threatening to critical and life-threatening."
