While NFL teams are shaking up their rosters with free agency moves, the league is looking to shake things up when it comes to next year's halftime show. The NFL is ready to go all out in 2016, and they're eyeing Britney Spears for their Super Bowl 50 halftime show. Katy Perry might've rolled out everything from dancing sharks to Missy Elliot for this year's performance, but the league is looking to go even bigger for it's 50th championship game— and Britney is at the very top of their list. The singer's long-running Vegas show Britney: Piece of Me was originally slated to end in 2015, but it's been extended through 2017 thanks to high ticket sales. The pop star's last halftime appearance was in 2001 for Super Bowl XXX, back when she shared the stage with NSync, Mary J. Blige, Nelly and Aerosmith. If a music comeback is on the menu for Spears in 2016, then a return to the Super Bowl stage would be the perfect relaunching pad.
