Mel B Roasting DeRay Davis Will Get You Amped For the Return of 'Hip Hop Squares'

The set of VH1's Hip Hop Squares is lit once again with a fresh batch of celebrity guests and (of course) a whole lot of jokes.

Show host DeRay Davis and some of the HHS contestants go way back - including America's Got Talent judge Mel B. DeRay and Mel were both in the 2005 movie The Seat Filler, and D has a very vivid memory of Mel slapping him back to reality...literally. "She was supposed to pretend slap me at the end. You know this muthaf--cka slapped me for real? Twice!" Damn Mel! Way to put put some passion into the role. ?

Jeannie Mai is another one of DeRay's homies that he loves to keep up with on the 'gram. The problem is, he doesn't even know how to pronounce her name. Jeannie (like Genie in a bottle) doesn't appreciate being called "Jenny." After The Real host corrects his slip of the tongue, Mel B chimes in and the two ladies have a good ol' fashioned roast session with DeRay. Meanwhile, Nick and Vanessa Lachey are just sipping their tea and laughing along because the best place to be is out of it.

Hip Hop Squares is BACK with three new episodes starting Monday September 25th + 9/8c on VH1.
