Samantha Continues To Defend Her Decision Not To Let Her Son Visit Mendeecees In Prison To Fans

"I never thought there would be a day when I would have to defend me wanting more for my child to others."

Another episode of Love & Hip Hop, another opportunity for fans to criticize Samantha Wallace for the choices she makes about her son, Lil Mendeecees. In a series of Instagram posts, a fed-up Sam explained to her critics that she's tired of people she doesn't know adding their two cents to her situation. And on top of that, she explains that her son is old enough to be a part of that decision-making process. Read Sam's passionate posts about the situation now.

I never thought there would be a day when I would have to defend me wanting more for my child to others. Why should I have to explain why it is detrimental for my son to see his father incarcerated. We have become so numb to the method of incarceration amongst our own that we think this is healthy. I'm sorry but it is not! Most boys want to be like their fathers and I want my son to be like his dad. Only a better version. I want him to have his best qualities and none of his flaws. So the best thing for me to do is keep him away from correctional facilities as much as possible. Bring him up the best way I know how as a mother.

PSA: Everyone is making decisions about what is best for our child, (Mendeecees Sr. and myself) don't u think I've not only thought this through but discussed this with Mendeecees Jr. as well? He is not a toddler. He is more than capable of sitting down and expressing himself with me as he did which led me to my decision. I realize this is politics and has nothing to do with morals for many who form opinions on this matter. (This is PERSONAL for so many of you who don't know me PERSONALLY.) The lies and slandering that people write about me is the same reason why they can't see me on my worst day. I went to school to receive my education, so I can work hard in my profession to pay MY bills. I have nothing to be bitter about, I have a loving son who adores and respects me. My son will always have decisions made in his best interest. This is not a personal attack on any one especially his father. I could and would never remove someone he holds so dear from his life. Which is more of the reason why it pains me to have to make this choice. I commend all fathers who play a role in the lives of their children. Prison can only separate you from your child in the physical sense but a true bond like the one my son shares with his father could never be broken. SB: in 2013 Thats us riding public transportation to get MJ to and from school. I am not above --I am involved. Single motherhood would never be done for glory, it's a circumstance that's why I never sought out for praises. I just do this, no receipts needed.

We know that everyone has an opinion and they're not afraid to voice them in the comments section, but Sam makes a pretty good case for why she does what she does and we can respect that.
