This Guy Just Outdid Every Romantic Proposal Story to Date

The good thing about the Internet is that everyone can witness your adorable marriage proposal. The bad part is, you won't stand out unless it's really special. Arizona's Dean Smith proposed to his girlfriend Jennifer Kessel everyday for a year without her even knowing it. For 365 days, Smith videotaped himself holding up cards with sweet messages to his soon-to-be fiance, accompanied by songs like "Marry Me" by Bruno Mars and Pharrell's"Happy." At the end of the year, Smith had Kessel watch the video, which contained a final message ("turn around"). Did we mention they were on a beach in Aruba and it was her birthday? As if this couldn't be more perfect.

She said yes, obviously, since she has at least a fraction of a soul. Congrats to the two and good luck to everyone else trying to compete with this epic proposal.
