8 Reasons To Get Pumped For The 2014 Soul Train Awards
The 2014 Soul Train Awards are set to air November 30 at 8 p.m. on BET, and we're already getting pumped. So should YOU! The star-studded event will be hosted by Wendy Williams and feature performances from Chris Brown, Nico & Vinz and Tamar Braxton among several other special guests. The show will be filmed tonight at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, and if the little tidbits we were able to find on the web mean anything, we're in for quite the treat.
So much is set to go down at the end of the month, and we can't wait to tune into the show. We've got one word for you, people: reunions.
8. We'll find out what R&B royalty — Brown, Beyoncé or Pharrell — took home the most awards.
Brown leads the pack with seven nominations, followed by the "Drunk in Love" diva with six and the "Happy" singer with five. These three titans are running neck and neck to snag up the most Soul Train Awards. But who will come out victorious? You'll have to wait and see (but let's be real, our money is on Queen Bey).
7. Alyson Cambridge will slay us all.
The operatic soprano is set to bring some classical flare to the Soul Train Awards. She's also bringing sure-fire hotness onto the red carpet. Cambridge dazzled in a little blue dress at the Soul Train Awards Gifting Suite yesterday, so we know her red carpet look will be even fiercer.
6. Nico & Vinz look hotter than ever.
The "Am I Wrong" duo are slated to perform at the Soul Train Awards. They'll kill it of course, but we're more excited about how va-va-voom they'll look. The musicians were all types of smoldering at the Gifting Suite yesterday, so we can only imagine what they'll bring to the awards show. Our hearts can't take it!
5. Flavor Flav will (hopefully) make a badass appearance.
The VH1 favorite is definitely in Vegas this weekend (check out the tweet) and made sure to stop by the Gifting Suite yesterday. But will he grace us with his awesome presence at the awards show? The anticipation is enough to tune us in! Flav is the best.
4. Wendy Williams will look fabulous and undoubtedly be hilarious as host.

Williams is a riot and a natural fit to host the Soul Train Awards. And from the looks of this super-chic outfit, we're thinking she'll be serving more than just humor. A collective, "How you doin?!" is appropriate (albeit cheesy) here.
3. Jodeci will reunite.
Yahoo! Music reports the North Carolina band will come together for an epic music-filled performance. Let's hope the quartet performs "Stay," "Forever My Lady" or "Come and Talk to Me" (only three of the five R&B No.1 hits it rung up in the '90s).
2. Brown will open the show.
Brown is a dynamite performer, and The Hollywood Reporter writes he'll be the first one of the night. The dancing! The lasers! The grin! We can't wait to see what he brings to the Soul Train Awards.
1. Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim and Da Brat will reunite for "Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)."
Is this reality? Yes. Yes, it is. MTV News confirmed the hip-hop pioneers will be coming together to slay us with their 1997 hit "Not Tonight." In terms of awards show moments, this is shaping up to be something special. Tune in for this, if nothing else. The '90s lover in you depends on it.
