Get ready to spread some holiday cheer with the quintessential queen of Christmas, Mariah Carey. The iconic songstress is slated to perform during VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night.
Carey will be joined by a slew of other A-listers who will grace the VH1's Divas stage (don't worry, they'll be announced shortly).
“I’m thrilled VH1 asked me to return to the DIVAS stage this year,” Carey said. “The DIVAS special offers a wonderful opportunity to perform for my fans over the holidays, which is my favorite and most festive time of year.”
VH1 Divas Holiday: Unsilent Night marks Carey's third VH1 Divas appearance. Mimi graced the stage with Aretha Franklin for a dynamic "Chain of Fools" duet in 1998 and she delivered an astounding tribute to music royalty Diana Ross in 2000.
Divas Holiday is one of many upcoming appearances for Carey, after playing sold-out venues across Europe, her "Sweet Sweet Fantasy" tour continues on to both Mexico and Hawaii. In December, for the third consecutive holiday season, Carey will take the stage at the Beacon Theatre in New York for her perennial Christmas performances. Additionally, her global docu-series, Mariah’s World, will premiere December 4th on E! network.
Unsilent Night is the revival of the VH1 Divas franchise after a four-year hiatus.
The festive event will be taped Friday, December 2nd at the Kings Theater in Brooklyn and will air on Monday, December 5th at 9:00 PM ET on VH1.
