Las Vegas is known for its long nights and quick marriages. With an abundance of drive-thru chapels and Elvis Presley impersonators, plenty of famous faces have said "I do" in Sin City. But are Vegas weddings always doomed?

After 18 years Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are very much the exception, yet the "Lost" Vegas stereotype goes something like this: After a few too many drinks, two thrill-seekers tie the knot in a pink chapel filled with fake flowers and empty chairs. Ring a bell, Carmen Electra and Dennis Rodman? Party girl Nicky Hilton had an impromptu Vegas wedding back (at 2:30 AM), but sometimes it's not the ones you'd expect. Britney Spears is currently serving up fierce performances nightly in her Las Vegas residency, but she famously she hit the strip for a late-night wedding with childhood friend Jason Alexander in 2004. (No, not that Jason Alexander.) The oh-so-scandalous 55-hour marriage began and ended faster than Kim Kardashian's stint as a singer.
