Linkin Park Singer Chester Bennington Has Committed Suicide at 41
Today, Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington was found dead after tragically taking his own life. According to TMZ, the famous singer hanged himself while staying at a private residence in Palos Verdes Estates in L.A. When this took place is still unknown, but his body was discovered Thursday just before 9 AM.
Chester was married with 6 children, and part of the legendary rock group Linkin Park. The band is known for their many timeless hits including "Faint," "In the End" and "Crawling" as well as their joint collaboration album with Jay-Z.
TMZ reveals that Chester had issues with drugs and alcohol in the past that resulted in suicidal thoughts. He was also good friends with fellow musician Chris Cornell, who also committed suicide back in May.
We're thinking of his family and his incredible music at this tragic time. Rest in peace, Chester.
