Safaree Joins 'Love & Hip Hop Hollywood' To Prove He's More Than Just Nicki Minaj's Ex

"They think I'm conceited and I’m very bitter about my, um, past relationship..."

For months, the rumor mill buzzed trying to figure out whether or not Safaree Samuels, the former longtime boyfriend of rapper Nicki Minaj would join the Love & Hip Hop cast, and finally we can confirm the reports are true!

Samuels, 34, will join season three of the Love & Hip Hop Hollywood as a main cast member looking to wipe his slate clean from all his past connections and ties to his ex. Safaree's break-up with Minaj was what reality shows are made of, after the two parted ways in a messy exchange that included her moving on immediately with rapper Meek Mill.

"You know, I’m just rebuilding myself. I put my life on hold long enough so now I’m finally able to focus on myself and you know show the world what I’m made of and make the best of every situation I’m in, and I’m just trying to let people know I’m my own person," Safaree explains.

Watch his entire "Meet The Cast" interview, and be sure to catch the premiere of Love & Hip Hop Hollywood Monday August 15th at 8/7c.
