Iggy Azalea Responds To Erykah Badu's Diss By Announcing A New Album
Iggy Azalea returned to Twitter yesterday to deliver an important message: She's coming back to music.
Iggy posted a series of tweets announcing that she has a new album on the way and it sounds like it'll be ready to drop in a few weeks. She didn't give away an official title or release date, but she did say that the album is finished, except for the features. First things first: Who agreed to feature on this album?
I say this because Iggy seems to have been blacklisted by most artists in the industry. We know how Erykah Badu and everyone watching the 2015 Soul Train Awards feel about her. Hell, even T.I. tried to jump ship. Iggy has become a laughing stock in the industry to all except a few, so whoever has agreed to feature on this album must be one of those. Was it you, Demi Lovato? You don't have to do this.
Really. Please don't do this.
Iggy also let us know in her tweets that she is in fact aware that the world still mocks her, but she doesn't give a flying you know what at this point. She's gonna drop this damn album in spite of all the haters she's accumulated, and she's gonna drop it if it's the death of her. Because ~art~.
So in a few weeks time, maybe we'll have The New New Classic? Again, who agreed to do a feature? Is Charli XCX down to clown? Did T.I. take pity? Is this next tweet a hint that it's Lady Gaga? 'Cause if it is, I'll be royally pissed, Mother Monster.
Guess we'll have to wait and see. In the meantime, let's try not to be too shady towards Iggy. Shall we?
