Is age really nothing but a number? Maybe and maybe not. It seems the most salacious hook-ups in music history include a massive age gap. These rock relationships go beyond being just May/December romances; some of them involve jailbait groupies, geriatric rock stars and massive age gaps.

Jerry Lee Lewis was one of the first stars of rock & roll, but he also created one of the genre's first jailbait scandals. His career took a massive dive when it was discovered that he married his 13-year-old cousin, Myra Gale Brown.

Elvis Presley and Marvin Gaye seem to have learned from Lewis's lesson. Though they fell for teenaged girls, they at least waited until their sweethearts were legal women before making honest women of them. Years later, R. Kelly would not be tactful. One of the biggest scandals of Kellz's career is his secret marriage to a then 15-year-old Aaliyah.

Nowadays, it seems par for the course for aging rock legends to romance younger lovers. No one bats an eye when Rod Stewart is seen in public with wife Penny Lancaster and it's almost a given that Madonna is going to have a 20-something boy toy in tow on her tours. But when you stop and do the math, you discover that both couplings boast a +25 year age gap!

Yeah, the course of true love never did run smooth, but could these music stars at least try dating in their own age range?
