Hey, did you forget what day it is? Yeah, sure, it's Earth Day, but it's also VH1's Earth, Wind & Fire Day! Some of you might be asking yourselves why VH1 is celebrating the legacy of Earth, Wind & Fire today. To put it quite simply: Earth, Wind & Fire rules!

Earth, Wind & Fire was founded by Maurice White in 1969 and over the past 45 years, the band has successfully mixed funk, soul, rock, pop, disco, latin, jazz and gospel music into the sweetest sounds ever produced on earth. The band has featured a rotating cast of expert musicians and influenced everyone from Jay Z to Pharrell Williams to Alicia Keys to Janelle Monae to Solange Knowles to Fall Out Boy.
