Beyoncé Snatched All the Wigs With An Unapologetic Beychella Performance

One-year after Beyoncé postponed her headlining Coachella Music Festival performance due to being pregnant with twins, Rumi< \strong> and Sir Carter, the singer put on a show to remember.

Making history as the first Black woman to headline the music fest, Bey used her big moment to highlight Black culture.

Kicking off her performance with a nod to Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Bey recruited a band, dancers and a step team consisting of HBCU attendees and/or grads. She even sang the Black National Anthem, "Lift Every Voice and Sing."

After performing a series of her singles from Lemonade, Jay-Z made a cameo for to perform their classic collab,"Déjà Vu."

Bey threw a little shade before reuniting with Destiny's Child. "Coachella, thanks for allowing me to be the first Black woman to headline... Ain't that 'bout a b***h," she said before DC members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams hit the stage to perform their hits, "Lose My Breath," "Say My Name" and "Soldier."

Paying homage to prominent figures in Black music in politics, Bey incorporated a Malcolm X speech and samples from Nina Simone, Outkast, The Jackson 5, Juvenile and a slew of others.

One of the biggest moments from Bey’s performance came from a cameo with her sister Solange. The dynamic duo put on a fierce dance battle to Bey’s “Get Me Bodied.”

While many east coast fans, who fell asleep before the live stream of Bey’s performance aired, celebs like Adele shared their reactions to lives to Bey’s performance.
