VH1 Has A 'Night Out' With "Don't Wait" Singer Mapei

Singer-songwriter Mapei's hit "Don't Wait" is killing it on the airwaves thanks to its unique pop rap blend. So naturally we were stoked when the star agreed to show us around Brooklyn (her home for three years) and open up on everything -from what makes a good night out, to how she keeps her music fresh.

With VH1 correspondent Desi as Mapei's date, the two started their evening on the Williamsburg Waterfront. It was here that Mapei dished on the unforgettable experience of hearing her music on a VH1 show for the very first time. "It feels surreal; my work is finally being heard," she tells us. Later they hit up Dressing Room Bar & Boutique—drinking and shopping?!—to discuss fashion. "I love finding unique pieces."
