Gene Simmons Home Raided As Police Search For Child Porn
Authorities note that the KISS frontman is not a suspect himself.
Gene Simmons' home was raided yesterday morning by the Los Angeles police in an effort to uncover evidence of child pornography. The LAPD's Internet Crime Against Children Task Force executed their search warrant at 8 AM, removing several computers and others items from the Simmons home.
However, authorities say that neither the KISS legend or his family are suspects in the crime. Apparently Gene was away on tour when the downloads occurred, leading the police to speculate that a third-party used their computers, or hacked their internet access.
The investigation is still underway, but Gene's wife Shannon Tweed tweeted a statement about the incident.
She closed out for the night with some helpful advice for her fans.
