Papa Papoose Has His Kids Learn About Kwanzaa To Honor Their Heritage

In this highlight from the Remy & Papoose: A Merry Mackie Holiday special, Papoose is on daddy duty while Remy gets the house ready for their big holiday party. He takes his children on a trip to get more in touch with their roots. They arrive at the Hayti Heritage Center to learn a thing or two. This year, Pap is looking to start a new tradition with his kids by celebrating Kwanzaa. The Mackies learn what Kwanzaa actually means from teaching artist Aya Shabu and they get familiar with the traditions the holiday brings. DJ is all smiles when she hears gifts are exchanged everyday. Papoose's kids are into learning more; they even put their own swag in some of the traditional dance steps. As fun as this excursion was, Papoose needs his kids to keep this on the hush. He has a surprise for Remy later.

Meanwhile, the party is moments away and Remy is making sure her home is on point. Remy is pleased to kill two birds with one stone by spending time with her sister and having someone to help her decorate. Not to mention, she looks bomb AF.
