Azealia Banks Breaks Down While Discussing Altercation With Russell Crowe
Azealia Banks recently sat down with Access Hollywood to tell her side of the story regarding the incident hotel altercation with Russell Crowe.
"Every time something like this happens, I'm always like being blamed for like wanting this kind of attention," Banks said as she broke down crying. "Like, who f*cking wants to tell someone they got spat on? That's humiliating. I'm just really, really humiliated."
During her emotional interview, the 25-year-old rapper recounted the argument that led up to her getting kicked out of Crowe’s Beverly Hilton hotel suite. "It just happened so fast," Banks explained. She claims Crowe was drinking and mocked her career. In return, she shot back at him. "Everyone was like, 'Oh my god. How dare you.'" She alleged that Crowe later forced her out of the hotel room after Banks had an exchange with a woman at the party.
A source close to Crowe told US Weekly, “No one called her the N-word. She was yelling the N-word at everyone else. Russell behaved like a hero. He acted in defense of his guests and removed her from his suite by putting her in a bear hug and picking her up.”
RZA, who was present, revealed, "Azealia threaten to cut a girl in the face with a glass, then actually grabs a glass and physically attacks for no logical reason. Russell blocked the attack and expelled her from the suite," he wrote on Facebook, adding that her behavior that night was "obnoxious."
The police tried to find footage of the altercation to determine what really happened, but were not able to uncover anything. The incident is back to "he said, she said" for now. Watch her full interview below.
