Is One Direction's New Song Flopping Because of Zayn Malik?

One Direction's "Drag Me Down" marks the band's first song sans Zayn Malik. Still not over that, tbh, but we all have to move on at some point, right?

The track snagged the number three spot on the Billboard Hot 100 upon its release and jolted to the top of the iTunes charts. Fans were eager to hear what 1D minus one sounded like, but apparently, not everyone liked what they heard.

Rob Shuter of The Gossip Table reports that "Drag Me Down" isn't getting the amount of airplay that One Direction is used to. There could be a number of reasons for this, one being that the song is lackluster with or without Zayn on it. But it does make us wonder if Zayn's departure will ultimately account for the band's loss of momentum.
