Remy Ma Unleashes the New Ladies' Anthem “Melanin Magic (Pretty Brown)” Featuring Chris Brown

Remy Ma and Chris Brown has just released the chocolatey and divine video for "Melanin Magic" which features cameos from her Love & Hip Hop homies Juju and Yandy.

The video was released with an accompanying letter to her fans via Essence. "Did you look in the mirror today and recognize your beauty and your worth?," she writes. "I know it's hard when people judge you based off your skin tone. I wanted to make “Melanin Magic” to remind you that you are black art. I see you, and I see past the outside, your beautiful heart is worth love and appreciation. Don't let anyone tell you that you aren't enough. You are smart and incredibly important. Be proud of your natural look and celebrate your hypnotizing beauty. Let your melanin skin shine bright! We all come from different sides of the spectrum, but whether you are dark, light, or right in the middle, never forget how gorgeous you are both inside and out."

Remy Ma is back with a new single that you're bound to love. This time, she's recruited the homie Chris Brown for a ladies anthem and '90s tribute all wrapped into one.

Their new track "Melanin Magic (Pretty Brown)” samples the 1991 Mint Condition song "Breakin’ My Heart (Pretty Brown Eyes)." Breezy is the perfect selection for the catchy hook, which is all about a woman whose figure is the object of desire. Remy Ma raps about having pride in her beautiful brown skin tone and the love she has for her natural figure. Lyrics like these stand out:

Back in November, Remy announced to her fans via TRL that the Chris Brown-assisted track was coming. Today, she finally released a preview of the single on iTunes, along with an Instagram video explaining the significance of the track. "I just wanted to make something that let people know that you're beautiful and pretty," she explains. "You can be brown skinned, dark skinned, light skinned...none of that makes you pretty or beautiful. It's what inside."
