Nicole Scherzinger Should Have Never, Ever Admitted To Passing On "We Found Love"

Nicole Scherzinger, yes the former Pussycat Dolls lead singer and X-Factor judge, should probably keep a few things regarding her career on the low, and by the low we mean never speaking of it. Ever. In no way does it benefit her to admit to passing on three songs that went on to become major hits for artists smart enough not to turn them down.

For some reason Notion magazine is interviewing Nicole (we're not really sure why unless there was some Pussycat Dolls nostalgia angle), and she thought it was as good of time as any to confess that she passed on "We Found Love," the hit Rihanna didn't pass on and turned into a worldwide chartopper and multi-platinum selling single. "I passed on 'We Found Love.'" she said. "I've got the demo of that song and I was busy at the time." Busy at the time crocheting or rummaging Trader Joe's aisles comparing the organicness of pasta noodles? Rest assure "We Found Love" plays as the soundtrack to Nicole's nightmares.

Using the "Just say no" slogan to songs that could've put her on the Billboard charts isn't exactly a new thing for Nicole. She passed on Gnarls Barkley's "Crazy" and the Pussycat Dolls passed on Lady Gaga's "Just Dance," both songs she would've had if she'd made better choices. By all means if she's allergic to hit records, who are we to judge. Obviously she's content with her last top 10 record being in 2006, and that's unfortunate. Sort of as unfortunate as when she hears "We Found Love" at a party. While everyone turns up, screaming the song at the top of their lungs, she throws back shots of tequila drinking her regrets to the point of amnesia. Tough life.
