British writer, TV personality, and model Peaches Geldof was found unresponsive at her home in England today. No apparent cause of death has yet been announced. She was well-known across the pond, but sadly, many of us stateside will only get to know her name following her sudden demise.
Peaches was a daughter of Bob Geldof, the mastermind behind the Live Aid concerts famously broadcast on MTV in 1985. She began her own media career in her teens, writing cultural pieces for Elle UK and The Guardian. She parlayed her prominence into the fashion and TV worlds, and even launched a new clothing line just last week.
Even with her professional accomplishments, Peaches suffered public sadness and scandal. Her mother, Paula Yates, tragically died of an overdose when Peaches was just 11. Eerily, one of the last photos on Peaches' Instagram account features her as a toddler being held by her mother.
Known for her exploits on the social scene, she was married at 19 with the union dissolving just six months later. She remarried, and she leaves behind her husband and their two sons.
